Holiday Season 2009
Well it’s getting to the end of another year & Pups 2 Luv Rescue is still in business! Certainly not as busy as we used to be before my Lymphoma, but we are still out there trying to place dogs in new homes. Some of them are in our foster care program, others in their current homes waiting for that special someone to come along just to fall in love with them & be their “forever family”. So if you are looking for a cause that could use your end-of-year donation, please think about Pups 2 Luv! Every penny of your donation “goes to the dogs” (as they say), since our only expenses are food, treats & medical care for our fosters. Everyone is a volunteer, including our fantastic webmaster Jen Murphy, who keeps our site updated & on track. Every little bit is greatly appreciated, so please drop a check in the mail to our P. O. The puppies and dogs that are available for adoption from Pups2Luv have been rescued from high kill rate shelters up and down the East Coast, abandoned on the side of the road, dumped in the garbage, left behind when people moved, given up when the kids got tired of them, or became unwanted "property" in a divorce. Some people just didn't have enough time to give them, had to travel too much, or had to move to a smaller place. All of them would love to have a new home and family to care for them! All puppies and dogs are up-to-date on all shots, have been wormed, vet-checked and (if old enough) are on heartworm preventative. We only do rescues and adoptions for medium, large, and extra-large breed puppies. When space in our foster homes is available, we will also accept young adult dogs of these same breeds or mixes no older than 18 mos./2 yrs. old. We DO NOT ACCEPT Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes, or ANY dog that has bitten or shown aggression towards another dog, or any person under any circumstance. ALL rescue puppies/dogs in the state of Virginia are REQUIRED to be spayed or neutered by six months of age, or, if they are adults, must be spayed/neutered BEFORE adoption.
